Monkey See; Monkey Do September 14, 2008

So as we’ve all heard, Sarah Palin’s oldest daughter, Bristol, is pregnant.  She is 17.  It isn’t normal to be pregnant before getting married at a young age but, accidents happen.  At first it seems maybe the abstinence message just didn’t seep into her brain.

But maybe, she was just following in her parents footsteps.  Maybe she just assumed that because her mom and dad were pregnant before getting married in the courthouse – bringing two elderly residents of the center across the street to witness their wedding – that it was Ok.

Remember, kids see these things and learn by example….often moreso than by the endless lecturing.

Thats pretty harsh Missy. Seem to be drawing a lot on conclusions, you and I both know a lot of people that have gotten into that situation, doesn’t change a thing about the way I feel about these people or the type of person they are.

Wasn’t saying those were his best songs, those were just the best performances of the night, it was amazing!

She clearly doesn’t have the social policy positions that I have but I could care less about her pregnant daughter. What is she going to do for the economy or the environment? The media needs to stop talking about her personal life so the American people can see how unprepared she is to deal with the problems that actually affect each and every one of us on a daily basis.

I think the issue is that Governor Palin doesn’t practice what she preaches.. (abstinence before marriage and no cognitive sex education) Statistically, it is known that the abstinence only stance doesn’t work and she is in no ethical position to be forcing her views on other women concerning what they should and shouldn’t do with their bodies. …oh but when was ethics ever a part of politics?
