40 days until the biggest decision the country will have to make for a while. Basically the candidates are interviewing for a very important job: The President of the United States of America. The employer: The American public. They have a series of opportunities to tell us about themselves and why they are the best applicant for the job throughout the campaign.
Who do you want to hire? Barack Obama and Joe Biden or John McCain and Sarah Palin? What factors are really the important ones to consider? Does it matter what religion they practice? Does it matter what their family values are? Or does it matter how they want to handle the situation in Iraq? Or how they propose to fix the economic policies within the United States?
We are at a point where the bigger picture is far more important than the minor details. Who will do the best job of easing the concerns of American’s about the war? Who will look out for the American public as they continue to lose jobs to outsourcing? Who will make the United States better tomorrow than it is today?
